Jacob (he/them) is an artist based in New York City. Born and raised in San Diego, he found his way into dance at an early age by following the footsteps of his sister. After performing a number to New Attitude by Patti Labelle in a dance competition, he knew his heart was in the right place. He began singing and acting training with David Green (OCSHA, CCA, MTU) through an after-school program that would produce pre-professional and professional shows at venues throughout southern California starring along side the likes of Shoshana Bean, Lindsay Mendez, and Jonelle Allen. Through high school he continued his dance training under the leadership of Tessandra Chavez and her company Unity Dance Ensemble. At 18, Jacob moved to Brooklyn and resumed his training in acting at AMDA Conservatory. After leaving AMDA, he attended Baruch College (CUNY) where he completed his Bachelors Degree. During his time at Baruch, Jacob worked in activism and earned an esteemed internship at the office of Corey Johnson, the current Speaker of the New York City Council. After classes Jacob worked for Democratic Coalition, as well as a program at Baruch that supports women, people of color, and people with disabilities. Throughout this period he continued dancing in music videos and performing in galleries in Chelsea, while furthering his dance training under Jennifer Archibald and beginning an apprenticeship with Reid Bartleme and Jack Ferver. Most recently, Jacob completed training at the Atlantic Acting School in 2019.
